Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hux, 92, of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Kuykendall and Rev. Frank Lane officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Sulphur Springs under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, at the church.

Mrs. Hux passed from this life on October 21, 2021, at UT Health in Henderson.

She was born October 28, 1928, in Hopkins County to the late Roy and Lela Belle (Morris) Scroggins and has lived in Henderson for over 30 years.

During her career, Mrs. Hux worked for H.D. Lee and Lance as well as for a florist.

She was very active, even until recently, and had volunteered with Henderson Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady.

Mrs. Hux was all about her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and they have always been a close family.

She has also been a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hux; daughters, Debra Hux Campbell and Ann Hux Cole; as well as four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her sister, Ragene Gilbert and husband Jerry of Sherman; grandchildren, Teresa Rath of Logan, Utah, Shanna Campbell of Henderson, Cassie Campbell of Kilgore, Derek Campbell of Kilgore, and Dillon Campbell of Henderson; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Tim Gilbert, Scott Scroggins, Dickie Scroggins, Derek Campbell, Dillon Campbell, and Caleb Hays.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
