He was born in Caswell County to the late Stewart Benjamin "Buck" Coley and Roberta Katherine Everette Coley.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Bridgett Lee Hayes.
Stewart was a longtime employee of Eckerd Drugs and worked later as a security officer until the age of 80. He was a generous man who opened his home to people in need and never met a stranger. Stewart loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
