Bettie was born on May 30, 1936, in Lonoke, Arkansas to Delmer and Edna Bettis.
She was a proud Lonoke Alumni Class of 1954.
Bettie was a hard-working lady with determination like no other. After many long years of employment, she retired from Remington Arms.
She enjoyed gardening and always shared their abundance of vegetables with neighbors & friends.
One of her favorite times was working in her yard with her many flowers.
She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, most always with camera in hand. Bettie was an active member of Smokey Lane Apostolic Church for more than 40 years. She was always willing to help others. God & family were her priority in her life.
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pastor Royal Kidder & a special bonus daughter Renee "Kidder" Pack.
Bettie is survived by son Wayne "Tinker" Smith Jr. (Jo) of Mayflower, daughter Debbie King (Kenneth) of Cabot, sister Marie Davis of Jonesboro, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew & a host of family & friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 23rd at 1:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 pm at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, AR
Interment will be at Lonoke Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lonoke Animal Shelter for which Bettie had a big heart.
