Mrs. Mary Burnett Lauber, 70 years old, resident of Rock Island last 23 years, died at
2: 30 p.m. July 1931 in the home of her son Henry Paul Lauber, 3427 6th Ave., after a long illness.
Mrs. Lauber maiden name was Miss Mary Burnett. Mary was born August 19, 1860 in Aledo Illinois and was the daughter of Annie Eliza Abercrombie Burnett Roberts and Capt. James A Burnett. Mary was married to William W Lauber February 3, 1885. They came to Rock, 23 years ago, Mrs. Lauber having been employed by the Rock Island Sash and Door works for several years. Mrs. Lauber was a member of the Southpark Presbyterian Church, women's relief Corps, and Rock Island chaptered number 269, order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are the widower, 3 sons, Frank Lauber of Lafayette Illinois, Harold and Henry Paul Lauber of Rock Island, a daughter, Mrs. Eva Lindquist of Moline, 2 half-sisters, Misses Catherine and Nona Roberts both of Rock Island, and a brother Carlton Roberts of Cambridge. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Anna Blanche Lauber Ray, and Catherine Roberts. The body was removed to the Knox mortuary pending funeral arrangements
