"Mrs. Winifred A. Rogers, 80, of 9708 E. 25th St., Independence, died Monday at Research Medical Center. She was born in Indiana and had lived in this area 65 years. Mrs. Rogers worked in the cafeterias of Tom D. Korte Elementary School and Rock Creek North Elementary School before she retired as a manager in 1965. She was a member of the Glenwood Park United Methodist Church. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clara M. Fulton of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Bernadette Clark of Alpine, Calif., Mrs. Alberdean Brown of Carlsbad, Calif., and Mrs. Josephine Campbell of Overland Park; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in Mount Washington Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, April 17, 1984
