He was born on September 16, 1931 in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania to Scott and Ether (sic) (Strait) Oliver.
He retired from TB Woods after 33 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening and camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Scottie is survived by his two children: Scottie J. Oliver of Fayetteville and Catherine Heffner of Chambersburg. He has six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers, Samuel Oliver of St. Thomas, Melsome Oliver of Inwood, WV., and a sister, Shirley House of Gainsville, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Maye Newcomer Oliver.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg has been entrusted with conducting the services.
