Bradley Pitts, of Wanette, passed away October 19, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years.

Phillip Bradley Pitts was born November 3, 1939 in Antelope, Jack County, Texas to Doyle Brooks Pitts and Charlie Marie (Thomas) Pitts.

Bradley and his family moved to Wanette in 1949, graduating Wanette High School in 1958.

He was a Petroleum Engineer Company Man and had lived and worked all around the world during his career such as Spain, Cairo Egypt, Algeria, Gulf of Mexico and Laredo, Texas. He resided in Wanette, Laredo, Texas and Norman, returned to Wanette five years ago. He also worked as a Farmer, Cattle, Hog and Buffalo Rancher. Over the years he started and owned various small businesses including Pitts DX, Pitts Stop gas and grocery, car wash, feed store, wrecker service and lastly half owner of Soggy Bottom Trails in Wanette.

Bradley was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Brooks and Charlie Marie (Thomas) Pitts; one brother, Milton Doyle Pitts; and two granddaughters, Jackie Marie Skelly and Lilly Ann Elizabeth Hornbeck.

Surviving family include his children, Jennifer Marie Holt of Asher; Deanna Lynn Johnson of Lebanon, Missouri; Melinda G. Rice and Darren Bradley Pitts, both of of Wanette; and their mother, Mary Jane (Kirkpatrick) Langston of Asher; and a son, Phillip Shane Pitts of Lexington; and his mother, Mary Jane Caskey of Norman; four sisters, Wynelle Long, Elaine Wood, Peggy Coulter, and Anita Skaggs; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; as well as a host of many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at Wanette Cemetery Chapel officiated by Jerry Plumley. Interment will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Connor Pitts, Brad Holt, Steve Holt, Lane Pennington, Justin Skelly, and Colton Pitts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Melot, Steve Lancaster, Robbie Rice, Steve Rush, Greg Rush and John Sheppard.
