A Celebration of Hal's Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Interment with military honors will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato.
The Johnson Family will greet friends on Wednesday afternoon for one hour until the services at Woodland Hills Chapel.
Harold was born on June 2nd, 1930, in Cleveland, MN, to Henry and Bertha (Boldt) Johnson. Harold attended Kasota and St. Peter schools, graduating in 1948 and entered the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home from the Air Force he married Patricia Taylor. She passed away in August of 1983. In May of 1990 he and Vangie Johnson were united in marriage.
Harold worked as a mailman for the U.S. Postal Service, and then worked as a salesman for homes, kitchen cabinetry and church furnishings. Harold was a master kitchen designer and general contractor. Harold enjoyed fishing and, in his retirement, furniture refinishing. He and Vangie enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Port Charlotte, FL. Harold was a perfectionist and took pride in all he laid hands on. Harold loved the Lord and his faith was very important to him.
Harold was predeceased by his first wife Patricia, daughter Kathleen, and great grandson Grant.
He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Vangie; sister, Adeline; children, Steven, Terri (Pat) Cooney, and Brad (Sandy); grandchildren, Michael (Maribel), Sean (Sarah), Ian (Ashley), Chase, Mallorie, and Kelli; and great-grandchildren Edson, Olivia, and Caleb; and many nieces and nephews.--Woodland Hills Funeral Home
