WINEGAR Jerome C., retired educator of Springfield, MA, passed away at home June 1, 2016. He was born in Kansas City, MO on June 27, 1937 to the late James and Evelyn Winegar. He is predeceased by his daughter, Kristin Koestler. He leaves behind his wife, Belcanto (Hammond); sons, Jerome David and Jonathan, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Richard (Mark) and Steven (Paloma) and several nephews and nieces. Jerome was a Teacher and a High School Principal for many years. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 11. Visitation with the family from 1-2 PM with the Memorial Service at 2 at American International College, Springfield, MA in the Schwartz Campus Center Auditorium, 1020 State St., Rm 208. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors without Borders or the Southern Poverty Law Center. Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of all professional services.
