On September 21, 1934 he married the former Joy Shell, she survives.
He moved to Chaffee in 1944.
He was a retired Frisco Railroad employee.
Mr. Baker was a charter member and deacon of the General Baptist Church at Chaffee.
Also surviving are three sons, Nolan Baker of St. Peters, MO; Norman Baker of Franklin, NC; and Nelson Baker of Hazelwood, MO; three daughters, Mrs. Cletus (Evoleen) Francis of St. Charles, MO; Mrs. Lloyd (Imogene) Waldroop of Franklin, MO; Mrs. Wayne (Dortha) White of Chaffee, MO; two brothers, Fred Baker of Sturdivant, MO; John Baker of Zalma, MO; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Eight brothers and sisters, and two grandsons preceded him in death.
Services were Monday at Chaffee Baptist Church. Burial was in Baker Cemetery near Lutesville.
