Bobby Joe Miller, 85 of Seymour passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Seymour.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in the Masonic Cemetery with Gary Barton officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Bob was born December 30, 1935 in Seymour to Walter and Gustie Montgomery Miller. He was a 1954 graduate of Seymour High School and played football at Texas Tech University. He worked for over 60 years in the trucking and oilfield industry. Bob loved going the Maverick Café to meet up with the boys. He enjoyed morning drinking coffee and doing crossword puzzles. He especially enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and would laughingly say it was to "get his education". He loved to grill on his Blackstone grill that he got for Father's Day and always had to make his "famous BBQ sauce". Bob adored his dogs, Cookie and Taz and his bird, Poco. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gustie Miller, 2 sisters, Vernice Doyle and Helen Styles and a grandson, Josh.
Survivors include his children, Chris Miller Hooker, Misti Miller and Robert Miller; a brother, Eugene Miller; a sister, Betty Hill; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
