Mary Tennessee Sandlin, 73, died at Calistoga Convalescent Hospital September 15 following a long illness.

Mrs. Sandlin was born December 27, 1904 in Mansfield, Arkansas. She grew up and received her education there and later lived for a time in Oklahoma. She married George E. Sandlin in Arkansas. They moved to Tulare, California in 1943 and to Yountville in 1955.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, George E. Sandlin of Yountville; daughters, Cora Gilpatrick of Vallejo, Juanita Mallory of Napa, Jean Flock of St. Helena, and Lois Blunt of Yakima, Washington; sons, Paul Sandlin of Terra Bella, California, and Floyd Sandlin of Napa; four brothers, Owen and Otis Bryant both of Chowchilla, Ernest Bryant of Stigler, Oklahoma, and Oscar Bryant of Lower Lake, and three sisters, Artie Smart of Chowchilla, Emily Gentry of Tulare, and Opal Truitt of Madera.

She also leaves seventeen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in St. Helena, Monday at 2 p.m.

Interment was in the Yountville Cemetery.
