Gordon W. Allem

Gordon W. Allem, 76, of 512 W. Broad St., Quakertown, was dead on arrival Tuesday at Quakertown Hospital after being stricken at the laundromat in the Quaker Village Shopping Center, Quakertown, Bucks County Deputy Coroner John A. Moyer attributed death to natural causes.

Allem was the husband of Isabel (Knappenberger) Allem.

He was a teacher in the Palisades School District for several years before retiring.

Born in Pleasant Valley, he was a son of the late Ezra and Adda (Weirbach) Allem.

He was a member of Springfield Lutheran Church, serving on its council.

He was past president of the Springfield Township Lions Club.

Surviving with his widow are three daughters, Lois, wife of Spencer Errickson of Baltimore, Md., Susan, wife of Robert F. Lehman of Bethlehem, and Lynn, wife of Larry Emert of Perkasie; a son, Gordon R. of Quakertown R.4; two sisters, Grace, wife of George Gehman of Coopersburg, and Mrs. Marian Beck of Telford; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. A calling hour will precede services in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown, is in charge of arrangements.
