Deborah Neil Cata, 64, passed away July 6, 2013 at The Bailey Family Center for Caring.

Deborah was a loving mother, companion and friend. She served her community, dedicated her life to working at Bellsouth (35 years) and Beacher's Lodge (10 years). The people that loved Deborah have been forever changed by her kindness, her spirit and her light.

Deborah was talented with beadwork, an avid reader, and loved the sunshine. A true southern girl, she was born in Ocala, raised in Orlando and settled in Hastings. She loved her home and served on the town council.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, son, Luis "Louie" Cata Jr., father, Curtis Neil Youngblood, Deputy Sheriff killed in the line of duty, mother, Jonnie Long who became Jonnie Cooper when she married Papa Don – Don Cooper (who was Deborah's step-father after her father passed)

She is survived by her sisters, Rebecca Shelton and Toni Wooten, brother, Donnie Cooper, nieces, nephew, cousins, Melody and Steve McJunkins, companion, David Witts, children David Witts of Pelham, NH, Trudy Poulin and Shelley Howard of Wells, ME, Shayla Witts of Lowell, MA, and daughter-in-love, Shannon Lake (Fiancé, Jon Schuman), 9 grandchildren, and many friends and family.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, July 11, at Craig Funeral Home with a visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 am.
