Maud Edith (Beese) McAuliffe (nee Wastrack) Born to Eternal Life on October 8th, 2021, age 93 years.

Beloved wife of the late Dale G. Beese and Thomas McAuliffe. Loving mother of Susan (Steve) McCormick and Debra Beese (d. 2003). Proud grandmother of Julie McCormick. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Born in Cedarburg, WI, Maud grew up looking after her three younger sisters, going with her father on veterinary calls, helping her mother with gardening and canning, and playing the French horn in the school band.

After receiving her degree, Maud worked as a nurse for 42 years in Wausau, WI, where she and her husband Dale raised their two daughters Debra and Susie among many loving friends and extended family members.

After her husband Dale passed in 1972, Maud found love again with Tom McAuliffe and enjoyed 3 sweet years together before his passing in 1984.

When she retired, Maud moved down to Milwaukee to be closer to her daughters and granddaughter. Maud was a devoted member of Kingo Lutheran Church for nearly 30 years and a longtime member of the Kingo quilters. She loved to collect antiques, do crafts, cook, knit, and participate in social groups like the Shorewood Senior Center and Shorewood Women's club. Many friends and family members fondly remember her delightful collection of teacups and decorative miniature shoes. Maud faced life's challenges and joys with courage and a good sense of humor. This kind and gentle spirit was always generous with her affection, her time, and her warm laughter. Maud will always be missed and remembered with love.

A private Family Service with interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park has been held. A celebration of a life well-lived will be held at a future time.

Memorials may be gifted to Kingo Lutheran Church or Kingo Quilters.
