Our Beloved Father Belarmino Maes Sr. (Billy) went to be with our Lord peacefully on January 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a long-time resident of Dixon but was currently residing in Taos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Emilia Maes; sisters, Minnie Ortiz and Clara Garcia and son-in-law Ruben W. Salazar Sr. He is survived by his children, Lorraine Rascon (Octavio), Annette Maes (Carlos), Judy Maes, Belarmino Maes Jr. (Larissa); mother of his children Isabel Chacon; his grandchildren, Crystal (Roman) Rascon, Nadine Rascon, Jorge Rascon (Ana), Ashley Zamora, Ruben Salazar Jr, Angelo J. Zamora, Feliciana Salazar and Camilia Maes; great grandchildren, Kimberly Guerrero- Rascon, Jorge Rascon Jr and Juan Villanueva Rascon; siblings, Theresa Marquez (Jose), Clyde Maes (Amy) and his loving Tia Juanita Gonzales and other family & friends. Belarmino was a long-life rancher in Cañoncito NM, who took great pride in his livestock and apple/cherry Orchard. He loved Dixon and the sense of community it offered. He later moved to Taos to be closer to his family. He loved his family dearly and always was a doting beloved father & grandfather. His biggest pride were his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed, joking, playing, and laughing with. Belarmino always offered his home to his entire family, making everyone welcome and enjoying special memories and meals. He was a very humble man, very giving and loving to all. One of Belarminos favorite part time activities was cruising in his vehicles, listening to Spanish music and visiting all his friends and family and picking up his children and grandchildren to go to the mountains to have picnics and enjoy family times, while reminiscing about the good ol' days. There will be no services and burial will be private.
