JOE'S OBITUARY
Joe Allen Davis departed this life at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the age of 78. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 18, at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Stewart officiating. The service can viewed live at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/62230 . Joe will be laid to rest at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-6 p.m.

The son of Roy Wayne Davis and Alma Ruth (Hanson) Davis was born August 3, 1943, in Tulsa; and he grew up in Turley. While attending a Chuck Berry concert, he met a young lady named Wanda June Weeks And fell madly in love They were married on November 19, 1965, in Wagoner, and made their home in Tulsa. They were blessed with four sons: Joe, Tim, Chris, and Clay. Joe worked as a free lance carpenter; but his passion was working with horses. He loved raising, breaking and training them. His dogs were always close by; and. he also very much enjoyed fishing. He often broke out his harmonica to play. Joe was always kind, quiet and humorous. He was easy to talk to, and had a joke for everything. Joe would give the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. Joe will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Wanda; sons: Joe Davis, Jr. (Anita) of Sand Springs, Tim Davis (Paige Voyles) of Broken Arrow, Chris Davis of Sand Springs, and Clay Davis (Brandi) of Skiatook; siblings: Raymond Davis of Skiatook, Edward L. "Eddie" Davis (Debbie) of Sand Springs, Joyce Ladner (Ed) of Kiefer, and Loretta Ray of Owasso; grandchildren: Amber Jean Owens, Kevin Davis, Aiden Davis, Mason Davis, Tyler Davis (Chloe Hull), Casey Bales, Aireanna Davis, Isaac Davis, Chyanne Davis, and Jakob Davis; step-grandchildren: Jillian Davis, Katy Whitney, Michael Morales, Jr., (Zenia), Anthony Morales, Matthew Morales, Claudya Macion-Pointer (Michael), and Frank Lopez; and great-grandchildren: Malakai Luka Davis, Olivia Rain Davis, Joshua Owens, Noah Owens, Lucas Owens, Jayden Davis, and Braxten Davis.
