Gary Dale Douglas, age 72, entered into rest Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his Pevely residence. Born August 7, 1949, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late William Franklin and Mayme (Worley) Douglas.

He had worked as a financial planner at A.L. Williams and was an ordained minister; he attended Impact Church of Festus and was a member of Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club; in his spare time he enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, golf, baseball, bowling, music and art.

Survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 53 years, Janice Marie (Jernigan) Douglas, son, Scott (Theresa) Douglas of Festus, daughter, Stacey (fiance, Marcos Monteiro) Douglas of Elizabeth, N.J., brothers, William (Marilyn) Douglas of Hillsboro, Charles Douglas of Festus, sister, Virginia (Melvin) Waites of Salem, grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Andrew, Savanah, Sylvia and Isabelle, great granddaughter, Ava. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Douglas, and sisters, Shirley Berger and Barbara Douglas.

Pastor Scott Douglas will officiate the service.

Family will be accepting friends from 5 until 8 pm Thursday; funeral service is 11 am Friday at Mahn Twin City Chapel with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Crystal City
