Born in Sevier County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dalas and Margie Bales Shults. She had been a Bridgeton resident for the past 42 years.
Prior to her retirement in 1989 she had been employed at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Township as a Dietary Department Supervisor. She had also previously worked at the former Captain Bill's Seafood in Bridgeton and the Bridgeton Bus Terminal.
She is survived by her longtime companion Jerome E. Wright of Bridgeton; two stepdaughters, Maggie Woodson and Mary Ruth Smelcer both of Newport, Tennessee; a sister, Ruby Baldwin of Tennessee and a close friend, Leona E. Ingersoll of Bridgeton.
Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
