Funeral services for Daniel E. "Buster" Waller, age 94, of Oxford, formerly of Coffeeville, are at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada. Burial will follow in the Coffeeville City Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home.

Buster died Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Oxford Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi.

He was born on August 19, 1925 in Coffeeville and was the son of the late Thomas Whitten Waller and Edith Erma Pittman.

Buster was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Field Technician. He was a member the Coffeeville Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edith Waller; his wife, Polly Waller; one sister, Catherine Waller; two brothers, Jack Waller and Robert Lewis Waller; and three nephews, Lonnie Waller, Donnie Waller and Harold Waller.

He is survived by two nieces, Rita Turner of Alabama and Kay Lewis of Oxford and three nephews, Larry Waller of Scooba, Mississippi, Dale Waller of Grenada and Gary Waller of Coffeeville.

Mortimer National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
