Bobby passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Bobby was born July 25, 1943 in Seymour, Texas to Loyd Harvey And Mary (Chris) Christine (Parker) Bohannon, the youngest of three children.

The family moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1957 where Bobby attended Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth and was in ROTC. In August 1961 he was drafted into the US Navy as part of the war in Vietnam. He was transferred to the Navy Reserves in 1965 and discharged from service in 1967. He was a member of the Rhome Veterans in Rhome, Texas.

On June 1, 1962 he married Lena Shaw and to this union had two daughters, Tammy Bohannon-Yule and Christy Bohannon. Bobby and Lena divorced in 1999.

On July 15, 2000 Bobby married Joan Lambert in Dallas, Texas. They made their home in Newark, Texas.

Bobby was active in his church, Chisholm Trail Baptist Church in Rhome, Texas serving in many areas.

Bobby was proceeded in death by his parents, older brother, Joe Glen Bohannon, niece Kimberly (Bohannon) Letson, nephew Michael Bohannon and his ex-wife, Lena. He is survived by his sister, Janice Ross, wife, Joan, his daughters Tammy (Spencer) Bohannon-Yule and Christy Bohannon. Also his step-daughters Julie (Jason) Bell and Danielle (Nick) Stanutz. He had eight grandchildren, Cassie (Ryan) Albertson, Steph (Nolan) Wahl, Clayton Bohannon, Briana Yule, Jordan Morin, Julianna Bell, Jacob and Lucas Stanutz and three great granddaughters, Adalyn and Zoey Albertson and Ronan Bohannon. Also nephew Terry Edwards and nieces Tina Edwards and Cynthia (Bohannon) Bilhartz

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Chisholm Trail Baptist Church, 300 Chisholm Creek Pkwy, Rhome, Texas 76078

Service will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10 am at Chisholm Trail Baptist Church with
Burial at 1:00 pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.

Arrangements are being handled by Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas.
