Arthur Galpin, 57, of 20 Sheridan street, Stratford, a security guard for the Bryant Electric company, died yesterday [Jun. 19, 1975] in Bridgeport hospital.
Services will take place Thursday at 1:15 p.m. in the Adzima funeral home, 591 Arctic street, and at 1 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Carpatho Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Duranko officiating, Burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Stratford.
Panehedeon services will take place Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. In the funeral home.
Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Galpin was a life-long resident of the area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Catherine Zentkovich Galpin; four sons, Arthur Galpin Jr., stationed at the U. S. Navy base at Warminster, Pa.; Louis Galpin of Huntington; and John Galpin and Edward Galpin, both of Stratford; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Baldovin of Milford, and Mrs. Martha Graham of Fairfield; two brothers, Robert Galpin of Alexandria, Va., and William Galpin of New London; two sisters: Mrs. Catherine Judkins of St. Petersburg, Fla, and Mrs. Martha Osterman of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
