COMPANY: K
SOLDIER'S RANK IN:Private
SOLDIER'S RANK OUT:Private

memorial on Thomas M White ... have 2 different Thomas White mixed in. The Thomas M White who served in the 4th OVC was born according to the "Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio, War of the Rebellion Vol XI, ca 1823. According the "United States Headstones of Deceased Union Veterans 1879 - 1903", Thomas M White of the 4th OVC died 2/25/1892 ... and was married to Matilda
The Thomas White you have listed was born 1846 and died 1919 and married to Ruth. There is a picture put on .. that shows a military headstone for the correct Thomas M White but erroneously marked 4th OVC Batt(that unit only had up to Co D)
--Bill Krebs,President,4th OVC Descendants Association

Too confusing.
