Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Wilkes, III and Dr. T. Joseph Lusk officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Dickens was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church. She and Mr. Dickens were married for 71 years prior to his death in 2017. She was completely devoted to her family and no one came into her house without being fed. Outside of her family life, she was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at the lakehouse that she and Mr. Dickens built as a couple at Modoc.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Hammond, Yvonne Parkman (Fred), and Pam Wright (Larry); seven grandchildren, Brad Barbee (Deborah), Shanna Johnson (Sean), Heather Frost, Clay Frost (Lori), Angie Parkman, Emily Golden (Matt), Kim Jackson (H.L.); fifteen great grandchildren, Cody Byers (Amanda), Chandler Durrance (Taylor), Shelby Johnson (Jared Babb), Madison Rhoden, Seth Johnson, Clayton Frost, Ansley Barbee, Braidon Frost, Landon Frost, Pressley Barbee, Dustin Golden, Whitney Barbee, Olivia Golden, Brielle Filgrove, Asher Golden; and three great-great grandchildren, Dakota Byers, Carter Durrance, and Samuel Byers.
