A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 5 in the Boehm residence for Matthew Boehm, who died April 29, 1998 at age 76. Mr. Boehm was born September 12, 1921 in Mandan, North Dakota, where he was raised. He moved to Vancouver, Washington and worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in construction until 1954 and then worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1984. In 1950, he married Dorothy Hardy.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jerry of Killdeer, North Dakota, Randy of Portland, Rick of Vancouver and Kim of Amboy, Washington; mother, Mary of Vancouver; brothers, Bill of Chula Vista, California, al of Lebanon and Clem of Kingman, Arizona; sisters, Bertina "Bert" Linsey and Adaline Erickson, both of Vancouver and Emma "Babe" Tracey of Corona, New Mexico; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Disposition is by Cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Liver Foundation of Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in Vancouver.
