Thomas Keats, the father of poet, John Keats, was born about 1773.

During WWII St. Stephen's Church was bombed and never rebuilt. (See below). The land was sold and the remains of those buried there were exhumed and moved to Brookwood Cemetery, Woking, Surrey.

There is no longer a church or visible churchyard. The site is coverd by concrete and buildings.
