Oneida, IL - Clyde J. Stickle, 79, of 215 E. West St. died at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.

Clyde was born August 26, 1928 in Oneida, the son of Ernest Orville and Lillie Josephine Anderson Stickle. He married Myra L. Brown on June 20, 1954 at the First Christian Church in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Stickle and Rodney (Cheryl) Stickle; two daughters, Mary Jo (Thomas) Dennis and Diana (Alan) Cooper; eleven grandchildren: Michael (Sheri) Dennis, Sarah Dennis, Melinda Stickle, Jayme Stickle, Jennifer Stickle, David Stickle, Carley Cooper, Miranda Stickle, Courtney Melton, Andrea Cooper and Abigail Cooper; two great grandchildren, Mark and Brian Dennis; and one sister, Kathleen (Erwin) Lufkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Mary Louise and two grandchildren: Steven Dennis and Melanie Stickle.

He served in the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from November 1950 until August 1951.

He worked as a carpenter and was a cost accountant and draftsman/engineer for Butler Manufacturing Company in Galesburg, Illinois.

Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery.
