Kenneth E. Hodson, age 79, went to spend eternity with the Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2003, in Reno, Nevada. He passed away at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno following a long illness. He was born June 22, 1924 in Oklahoma to Jesse and Freda Hodson. Ken grew up in California, graduating from high school in Susanville. He lived in Reno, with his wife, Louise, from 1947 until his death. He was member of the Reno Assembly of God Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. His favorite activities included spending time with his wife and family, camping and boating.

Ken served his country in the U.S. Army as a field gunner with the 754th Field Artillery Battalion during W.W.II in Europe. He participated in the Normandy invasion into northern France, as well as the Rhineland campaign in central Europe. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.

After his military service, Ken made his home in the Reno area, where he made his career as a carpenter. This is where he met and married Ellen Louise Leach, his wife of 56 years. He was also a proud member of Carpenters Union Local 971.
