Obituary:
Fruithurst - Clovis Laverne Biggers, 75, died Friday, October 8, 2021, at his residence.
Clovis was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He was a deacon and faithful member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church #1 in Fruithurst. Clovis worked at Hoover-Hanes until his retirement. Clovis was a devoted and loving father, brother, and uncle. He wore those titles proudly and always enjoyed every moment spent with his family. Clovis never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand.
Clovis was preceded in death by his parents, Orland and Otilla Biggers; his wife, Teressa Biggers; three brothers, Garvis Biggers, Aaron Biggers, and Mickey Biggers; a sister, Rebecca McNeese; two brothers-in-law, Sherril Smith and Steven McElroy; his mother-in-law, Louise McElroy; and his father-in-law, Vernon McElroy.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Makayla (Weston) Ollis; a son, Jonathan Biggers; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sharon (Rodney) Clegg, Polly Smith, and Denise (Rodney) Skinner; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Biggers, Betty Biggers, and Brenda (Dane) Dingler; and a brother-in-law, Ronald (Beverly) McElroy.
