WIDNER, Louis of Thorndale. Age 90. Died 1/30/1985 (Wed.) in a Temple Hospital. Services held (Friday) at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial in Val Verde Cemetery. Rev. Gene York officiated.

He was BORN 8/6/1894. He was a farmer, U.S. Army veteran of WW-1 and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Thelma Widner of Thorndale; 3 sons, Robert Widner of Dallas, James Widner of Denison and Julius W. of Thorndale; 3 daughters, Margaret Draper of Cameron, Martha Hopson of Taylor and Annie Tredway of Denison; 5 step-sons, Thomas Byrd of Emory, J.W. Byrd of Oklahoma, Kenneth Andrews of Emory and Johnny Andrews of Cameron; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
