Leonard W. Potts age 90 of Crofton, Nebraska died on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Bloomfield, Nebraska.

Leonard was born on February 8, 1931 in Fordyce, Nebraska to Frank and Mary (Schmitt) Potts. After his schooling, he married Denelda Steffen and moved to their family farm east of Crofton, where they raised their 7 children.

Leonard was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Leonard had a passion for farming and John Deere that has carried down through generations. He never met a stranger and he could play cards and reminisce for hours.

Leonard is survived by his children Charles Potts, Crofton, NE, Charlene (Paul) Stevens, Pewaukee, WI, Charlotte Jansen, St. Helena, NE, Cathy (Leroy) Clair, Carlisle, IA, Chad (Daniell) Potts, Crofton, NE: 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Flavia Ausedmore and Lavena Mullen; brothers Roman and Gerald; daughter Donna Wiebelhaus, son Donavon, and son-in-law, Vern Jansen.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating.
