Josephine Ann "Jo Ann" Arcure Blankenship, 87, of Fairmont, entered into eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family, on Monday October 4, 2021. She was born August 14, 1934 in Farmington, daughter of the late Nicholas and Lena Dattilo Arcure.

She was the loving wife of Ron Blankenship for 66 years and proud devoted mother and grandmother of six children : Jim Blankenship, Susie (Pete) Garrison, Donna(Zeke) Davis, Mary Ann (Mike) Sickle, Julie(Paul) Hayhurst and Sherry(Patrick) O'Mara, Fourteen grandchildren : Joel Blankenship, Anna (James) Sonnenberg, Jason Garrison, Ashley (Justin) VanTromp, Christina (Tyler) Messner, Brandon Davis,Brent and Chet Sickle ,Zack and Carlie Hayhurst, Trey(Adriane) O'Mara, Jenna (Jay) Schwartzmiller, Katie(Fraser) Brown and Owen O'Mara, fifteen great grandchildren : Nina Blankenship, Michael, Leo, and Joseph Sonnenberg, Mila and McKinley Garrison, Drew and Cole VanTromp, Max and Miles Messner, Declan, Rauri and Lochlain O'Mara , Landon Harbert and Vivian Brown.

Along with her husband, children and grandchildren she is survived by one brother, Mike (Beverly) Arcure, sisters in law, Marge and Rose Arcure and Linda Blankenship and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Davis and grandson Jason Garrison, brothers Dominick, James, Anthony and Thomas Arcure. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws Harry and Julia Blankenship, one brother-in-law Harry "Zip" Blakenship, and two sisters-in-law Helen Blankenship and Theresa Arcure.

Jo Ann's greatest love was her family. She always provided love and support and instilled her faith and morals into them. She enjoyed hearing and telling stories about her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jo Ann was a member of St Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, member of the funeral choir and Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and Saint Theresa's Circle. Jo Ann was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Marion County.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Sheila Womack for her loving care and the employees of Amedisys Hospice .

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Sunday from 4-8:00 P.M. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church 407 Jackson Street with Fr. Joseph Konikattil as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
