Earlene R Van Wagoner Nelson, a few days short of 91, passed away October 2, 2021. She was born October 14, 1930 in Provo, Utah to Reed "Tom" VanWagoner and Florette Ryan VanWagoner. She married Bruce Richard Nelson on June 21, 1947. Their marriage was later sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake City Temple.

Earlene was the most giving and caring person. She loved being a mother and her children feel blessed to have such an angel mother. She found the good in everyone. She was the most charitable person ever and always looked out for those around her. Whether that was taking widows in the ward to the store, helping out with work around their home by recruiting her children to be an extension of her love. Even in her last moments she was still concerned with the other residence in the nursing home. Earlene worked as a teller at Bank of American Fork for years and was everyone's favorite teller according to her children. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Allen Tommy Nelson, Lyle Richard (Sherrie) Nelson, Lori (Jeff) Bennett, and Kari (Kurt) Schwendiman, 14 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Laura Brailsford. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, and her sisters Floreta Greta Lewis and Karma Adamson.

A small service will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A viewing will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM prior to the services. Burial will be in the Alpine Cemetery.
