Manny was born September 30, 1951, in Abilene, Texas to Manuel L. Valdez Sr. and Marie Margarita Nieto Valdez. Manny was born and raised here working as a lathe machinist for nearly twenty years for General Dynamics and the Lockheed Corporation. Manny enjoyed listening to his old classic rock and roll (especially The Beatles) and watching old movies. He loved working on his Chevy Camaros and spending time with his grandchildren.
