Tom Tracy passed away at his home on Oct 5, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was the third child born to his father, Edward Virgil Burnham, and mother, Virginia Iris Marchant, at Parkview Episcopal Hospital, Pueblo, Colorado on January 7, 1952. When his mother remarried to Donald Tracy in 1962, Don adopted Tom, his brother Jim, and his sister Mary, giving them his name.

Tom attended North and South Mesa Elementary Schools and Pleasant View Junior High in Blende, CO. He graduated from Pueblo County High School on June 4, 1970.

Tom joined the U.S. Army on January 5, 1971 and was discharged in March 1979. He served three enlistments covering Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Korea; Fort Carson, CO; Fort Lewis, WA; Alaska; Fort Bragg, NC; and Fort Polk, LA. He served as a Combat Engineer, a 75th Airborne Ranger, Special Forces, and was a Green Beret. On June 1, 1973 he married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Howell.

After the Army, he started employment with Linde Union Carbide in 1979 as a cylinder handler. Throughout his career with Linde in CO and CA, he held positions of a generator attendant, truck driver, DOT safety coordinator, dispatcher, and plant manager. He was also a Linde Emergency Assistance Program (LEAP) team member for most of his career. After retiring from Linde in 2008, he went to work with Airgas as the plant manager in San Leandro, CA.

His interests through life were coaching various sports for his sons and attending their sports activities, scouting, camping, fishing, skeet shooting, bowling, and playing video games. He was a movie and sports enthusiast. He was an animal lover and will be missed by Coco (his macaw) and Rocky (his dog).

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Don and Virginia Tracy; his brother, Jim; his sister, Mary; his biological father, Edward Burnham; half brother, Wendell Edward "Eddie" Burnham; stepmother, Ruth Imogene Burnham and stepbrother, Delmar James. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons Thomas and Bobby of the family home; son Steven (Misty) of San Tan Valley, AZ; three grandchildren; five bonus grandchildren; half sisters Ruth Ann Martinuk (John), Karla Weaver (Jay), and Karol Cosby; half brother, Jay Matthew Burnham; stepsister, Jean Schreiner (Warren); and stepbrother, Ronald James (Ann); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tom was under the care of a very caring team from Family Comfort Hospice and wife and son, Bobby. Wyman Cremation and Burial Services, Mesa, AZ was in charge of arrangements.
