Graveside services for Shirley Ann Davidson, 81, of Van, Texas will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw, Texas. Shirley Ann Davidson was born June 6, 1940 to Mr. Jack McLeod and Mrs. Frances Sutherland McLeod in Kilgore, Texas. Shirley grew up Baptist in a home with two sisters and lots of joy. She got married to Leo Hilton and they raised two sons, one step son, and a daughter. Shirley had a "wicked dry sense of humor." She was known for being straight forward. Shirley was also a good cook and among her specialties included her apple strudel, chicken-fried steak with homemade gravy "you could stand up a spoon in", and sausage balls which she made with her grandkids. She had a special place in her heart for those students with special needs. In her career as a bus driver she worked for Garland, Conroe, San Antonio, and Palestine ISD's transporting special needs students to and from home and school. Shirley loved to go fishing with her husband, playing cards, crafting, and shopping. She was in the the Women's League and the bowling club. Her grandkids and great grandkids ("her kids" as she referred to them all) were her love and she cherished every minute with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, and daughter Kalen Atlis. She is survived by grandsons Brandon Johnson of Palestine, Texas, Cody (and wife Trysha) Johnson of Odessa, Texas, granddaughter Amy (and husband Jerry) Hack of Van, Texas, and step-son Don (and wife Barbara) Davidson of Reklaw, Texas. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer: Kane Pearson, Brandon Johnson, Jerry Hack, James Davidson, Hunter Moore, and Jacob Moore.'
