Jimmy Dossett, 66, S. Iris Drive, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Myron Dossett officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born April 24, 1955, the son of the late Aubrey Dossett and the late Lenous (Boyd) Dossett.

Jimmy was a bus monitor for Christian County Public Schools and a member of First United Methodist Church. He served on Hopkinsville City Council from 2011 to 2020 and also served as president of Trail of Tears Commission. He was a member of Jaycees, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vaperz Car Club, and Boy Scouts of America Troop 68.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Dossett.

Survivors include his son, Ben (Amber) Dossett, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Amber Roeder, Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Rep. Myron (Tracy) Dossett, Pembroke, KY, Wilford (Dawn) Dossett, New Farmstead, NH; and 4 grandchildren.
