Son of Bernie & Delphia (Ferrell) Adkins∼CENTER TOWNSHIP, PA, Ralph D. Adkins, 67, formerly of Hamlin, WV passed away at 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb 11, 2007, at his home on Patterson Ave. in Center Township, PA. Born in Orville, WV on March 14, 1939, he was the son of the late Bernie and Delphia Ferrell Adkins and had spent most of his lifetime in Hamlin. A Baptist by faith, he had worked for the Hamlin Board of Education in its distribution warehouse. Preceding him in death on June 2, 2002, was his wife, Aredith Lou Adkins, whom he married on May 29, 1958. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Lovejoy and her husband, Dale, and Melissa Adkins, all of Hamlin. There is one son with whom he resided, Michael Adkins and his wife, Joan, of Center Township. Additional survivors include two sisters, Delores Adkins and her husband, Coney, and Freda Adkins, all of East Liverpool, as well as a brother, Harold Adkins, of Sias, and his sister-in-law, Thelma Adkins, also of East Liverpool. There are 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Adkins was also preceded in death by five brothers, Eugene, Donald, Robert, Kenneth and Jim Adkins.
