"Mrs. Adah M. Royster, 81, of 12500 E. 40th, Independence, died Saturday at a nursing home in Liberty. She had lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. Mrs. Royster was a Baptist. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Galbreath of the home; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Maddux of Lee's Summit; a grandson and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Newcomer North Kansas City chapel; burial in East Slope cemetery." The Kansas City Times, June 17, 1974
