Obituary in the Butler Eagle – Tuesday, January 11, 1949:

William Hildreth Walker, aged 74 of 420 Negley Avenue, died at 3:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Butler County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Walker was employed by the Breman Oil company for many years. He was retired, after suffering injuries five years ago. A resident of Butler for the past 29 years, Mr. Walker was the son of the late Hildreth and Julia Walker. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Walker, a daughter Mrs. Ethel Hoffman of Bruin, three sons, Hildreth Thomas Walker of Butler, Raymond Walker of Burgettstown and the Rev. Clair Walker of Kittanning, a brother, Harry Walker of Evans City and a sister, Mrs. Mae Hooks of Butler. Mr. Walker was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Friends will be received at the family residence until noon Thursday, and at the Church of the Nazarene for an hour before the service. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Floyd Wycoff, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
