Gertrude Rapplyea, widow of the late Peter Burger, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Barnes, at Lomontville, Sunday evening, July 17, aged 89 years. She is survived by six children, Mrs. Mary E. Burger, Lavina Burger, Mrs. Walter Barnes, Matthias Burger of Kingston, John E. Burger of Arkville and Marvin Burger of West Shokan; also twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Funeral will be held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Barnes, at Lomontville, Wednesday, July 20, at 2 p. m. daylight saving time.

West Shokan - July 21 — The remains of Mrs. Gertrude Burger were brought here on Wednesday from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Barner, in Lomontville, and laid to rest in the family plot in the Bushkill Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family.
