FAMILY SEARCH. When Isaac Busenbark Jr was born on 8 December 1851, in Honey Creek, Pottawattamie, Iowa, his father, Isaac Busenbark (1801-1876), was 50 and his mother, Abigail Manning (1807-1852), was 44. The assumption is that he died on 18 June 1852 from cholera; the same time as his mother's death. The exact burial place cannot be substantiated, except it was along the Mormon Trail in Nebraska.

MORMON PIONEER OVERLAND TRAIL. The Isaac Busenbark family … Isaac Busenbark (1801-1876), Abigail Manning Busenbark (1807-1852), Harriet Busenbark (1834-1908), Margaret Alice Busenbark (1836-1915), Lucinda Busenbark (1838-1885), Elizabeth Busenbark (1841-1858), Martha Matilda Busenbark (1843-1852), Ann Eliza Busenbark (1849-1936), Isaac Busenbark (1851-1852) … was part of the Utah Mormon Pioneer Overland Travel migration between 1847-1868.

Traveling with the David Wood Company, the family were among the approximately 288 individuals and about 58 wagons in this church wagon train when it began its journey on June 6, 1852 from the outfitting post at Kanesville, present day Council Bluffs, Iowa. The company began arriving in the Salt Lake Valley between September 20-October 1.
