BASTROP, LA. Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Eva Doris Wyatt will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Stewart Bedallion officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2nd, at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Eva Doris Hennington Wyatt was born November 12, 1940 at Wilmot, Arkansas to the late Fannie Strange Hennington and William Hennington. She passed away peacefully, following an extended illness, on Friday, October 1, 2021 at her home in Bastrop. Mrs. Wyatt was a devoted member of the Riverside Baptist Church where she served in the W.M.U. and sang in the choir. She retired after 30 years of service with the Morehouse Parish schools having worked in numerous school cafeterias in Bastrop. Ms. Eva also stayed active in numerous activities at the Morehouse Council on Aging. She enjoyed visiting and sharing time with others and working in her yard, tending to her many flowers, She was a devoted and beloved mother and grandmother and loved by all fortunate to know her.
Mrs. Wyatt is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilbur James Wyatt; a brother, Billy Hennington; and three brothers-in-law, James "Buddy" Williams, Donald Starkweather, and Joe Pisano.
Ms Eva is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Boyte and her husband, Richard and Janice Wyatt; two granddaughters, Hayley Rogers and her husband, Nathan and Savannah Boyte; two great-grandchildren, Avalon Davis and Isaac Davis; her brother, Thomas Hennington and his wife, Dixie; two sisters, Nell Pisano and Georgia Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Terry Wyatt, Justin Wyatt, Xander Wyatt, Benjy Boyte, Martin Cook, and Daniel Jones.
