Patricia Anne Kainu (Age 75)

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, Pat Kainu of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully while surrounded by her three children. A native Washingtonian, she attended St. Anthony's Catholic School before completing coursework at The Catholic University of America and spent 35+ years as a Paraeducator for the Montgomery County school system at Glen Haven Elementary School.

She is survived by her children, William Kainu (Zakiya), Michael Kainu (Kristin) and Margaret Crutchfield (Michael); granddaughters, Mikayla Leigh Kainu and Kathryn Ann Kainu; brother, Michael Anzelmo; three nieces, two nephews and 6 grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Anzelmo.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm. Memorial Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11 am. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Washington, DC at a later date.
