Age 89, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was born February 10, 1932 in Beef Hide, Kentucky, the son of Ervin and Hattie (Mullins) Anderson.

Willie served in Korea with the Army Corp. of Engineering during the Korean conflict. He married Juanita Parks on November 18, 1955 and they spent 63 loving years together prior to her passing in 2019. He retired from the Willow Run General Motors plant as a hi-lo driver.

Willie was a blue grass musician, playing both the banjo and guitar. He was an avid gardener and fisher who enjoyed quilting with his wife. His true treasure and gems in life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rhonda (Eugene) Stimson of Monroe, one son, Jim (Kimberly) Anderson of Willis, four grandchildren: Jake, Katie, Nick and Samantha; seven great-grandchildren: Addison, Peyton, Ella, Eliana, Izayah, Lyfe and Asher; three sisters: Ruby, Carol and Vonda; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, parents and son Robert.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Stark Funeral Professionals with Ron Moore officiating. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the funeral home. Willie will be laid to rest at Union-Udell Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
