Married in 1787 to Elizabeth Sharp.
They had the following 10 children over the course of 20 years, all of whom survived childhood and teen years:
Rachel, born August 28, 1789, Philadelphia County, PA. Married Thomas Duffield. Died April 30, 1871 (age 82).
Hester, born March 7, 1791. Married George Clift.
Elizabeth, born April 4, 1793. Married Joseph Scroggy. Died September 25, 1826 (age 33).
Sarah, born February 21, 1795. Married Jesse H. Flitcraft. Died May 26, 1829 (age 34).
Charles, born March 18, 1797. Married on September 13, 1821 to Sarah Adams. Died November 1867 (age 70).
Henry, born October 20, 1799. Married on September 1, 1831 to Louisa Charlotte Schlosser. Died November 1, 1876 (age 77).
Adam, born May 6, 1802. Died November 25, 1822 (age 20).
Isaiah S., born June 6, 1804. Married on March 16, 1828 to Mary Hart. Died June 3, 1878 (almost age 74).
Levi, born July 18, 1806. Married Mary Comly. Died January 4, 1885 (age 78).
