Absalom united wih the Little Zion Primitive Baptist Church when a young man and when the church was constituted at Atlanta, he and Edith were charter members. Later he was ordained as a deacon and served in his capacity faithfully. His obituary says, " o say he was a good man lightly expresses the high esteem in which he was held.
Absalom was a farmer in Macon County and he also was a "fired" brick maker there. They had 3 children Floy E., Oren Watson and Verdun Julia. Floy died when he was 2 years old.
