Sara G. Yawn, age 83, of Harrison, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. She was born November 29, 1937, at Norcross, Georgia, the daughter of Willie J. and Clyde Samantha (Christopher) Garmon. Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael H. Yawn; her sisters, Dorothy Clark, Rena Cooper, Monteen Green, and Doris Tullis; and her brother, Ray Garmon.

Sara was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. She was a secretary/homemaker. She married Homer Yawn on June 1, 1957, in Norcross, Georgia. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, embroidery, and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She volunteered at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center as a "Pink Lady" for 37 years.

Sara is survived by her husband of 64 years, Homer Yawn, of Harrison; her son, Tim Yawn, and his wife Susan of Rogers, Arkansas; two daughters, Connie Y. Paden and husband Tim of Mtn. Home, Arkansas, and Lori Boaz and husband Rob of Berryville, Arkansas; and her sister, Carolyn Thompson, of Norcross, Georgia.

Sara is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Paden Springfield, Missouri, Lucas Paden of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ashlyn Paden of Mtn. Home, Adam Yawn of Erie, Colorado, Michael Scott Yawn of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Laura Yawn of Rogers, Arkansas, and Abby Boaz Brown, Kailey Boaz Helmlinger, and Zach Boaz, all of Berryville; her great-grandchildren, Aaron Yawn and Micah Yawn, both of Erie, Colorado; and a host of other family and friends.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Enloe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Michael Paden, Lucas Paden, Adam Yawn, Michael Scott Yawn, Zach Boaz, Seth Helmlinger, and Austin Brown.
