25266 Gunner A E Harcourt, 2nd Company, Western Division, Royal Garrison Artillery. Deployed to South Africa with his Company for the Second Anglo Boer War. They were deployed to the Vryheid area in late 1900 and were heavily attacked on 11 Dec 1900 but drove the Boers off inflicting heavy losses. He was one of those killed in the action at Lancaster Hill, Vryheid, Natal.
