J.W. Lamb, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019. J.W. was born in Boyle County on January 22, 1928, a son of the late William Hillis "Doc" and Susan Goodnight Quinn Lamb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Shepperson Lamb.
J.W. was a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served his Country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was retired from Overlay, Inc. having worked in bridge construction. J.W. enjoyed fishing, woodworking and UK basketball.
Survivors include one son, Dickie (Kaye) Lamb, and one daughter, Gayle (Bo) Grugin, five grand- children, Michelle Hogue, Missy Raider, Kristen Satterly, Laura Lamb and Brooke Winburn, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grand- daughter.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings.
The funeral service will be at 12 noon Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Bro. Jr. Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Coffman, Jeff Reardon, Robert Leath, Troy Edwards, Levi Har- ris and Creed Hogue. Memorial contributions are suggested to WDFB-AM, 3596 Alum Springs Road, Danville.
